About us
The Ladder Group is a voice/social group especially for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for ages 11 up to 25 years. We meet regularly to share our experiences and to put forward our voice to the decision makers whilst also enjoying group activities and making new friends. We are a diverse group of young people with a range of additional needs who champion the needs of young people with SEND. We are always looking for new members and we enjoy watching young people gain confidence and find new friends. Members of the Ladder Group also attend the SEND Shadow Board meetings.

The SEND Shadow Board is a group of young people all with SEND whose aim it is to change SEND education in Doncaster for the better. We work alongside Doncaster Council, Doncaster Parents Voice and other partners to make these changes.

The SEND Shadow Board is for young people aged 12-25 years. Young people are welcome to bring a trusted adult, parent/carer or chaperone to the SEND Shadow Board meetings.​
